Motivating Donors to
Action
for Facing History and Ourselves

Facing History is at a pivotal point in the organizations growth. They are in the first year of a five-year strategic plan to scale their impact across schools in North America. They needed a bold new visual identity and collateral for their upcoming national 2018 Annual Benefit Dinner.

A visual identity should be a true reflection of how a brand sees itself and in this case, how a brand will see itself over the next five years. Facing History’s future is rooted in how it sees itself reflected in their strategic plan: aspiring to a world shaped by knowledge, empathy and action, rather than racism,  anti-semitism and prejudice. Linking the past to contemporary events affecting our lives today.Tomorrow is today.

Our approach to the identity was to design an abstract symbol embodying the concept of time, urgency and the future. The result was presented across print and digital invitations; website banner; posters and dinner programs.

The success of the identity motivated participating donors to attend benefit dinners in over 10 cities in the US and Canada including, New York, Chicago, Boston and Toronto, for a night of inspiration and learning while raising critical funds in the form of multi-year commitments that help combat racism, antisemitism, and prejudice while nurturing democracy through education.Tomorrow is indeed today.
